LAMINA S, LAMINA C
LAMINA S (straight), LAMINA C (curved) is cortical bone of heterologous origin produced via the patent-protected TECNOSS process that avoids the ceramization of hydroxyapatite crystals, thus allowing progressive physilogical resorption. After a process of superficial decalcification it maintains the typical compact consistency of the bone tissue from which it originates.
Handling
Lamina can be shaped with sterile scissors to the desired size. Once a perfect fit is achieved and the bone augmentate is properly covered, it should be immobilized
(eg microscrews) while the defect underneath Lamina is properly filled up with either Gen-Os or mp3. In case of exposure a second intention
healing can be expected, Lamina is only removed if there are clear signs of a suprainfection.
Clinical Applications
- Oral Surgery / Traumatology: stabilization and protection of larger-sized regeneration areas with a potnetial risk of exposure.
- Oral Implantology: protection / stabilization of 2-wall defect grafts.
